NFL Players Too Are Interested In Bitcoins

The Bitcoin made huge headlines in late 2017. It reached a peak of $19,000 in early December from starting the year at $1000. The popularity of Bitcoin has made the world stop and take notice of the cryptocurrency world. The Bitcoin has drawn the attention of many billionaires and celebrities across America. Now, there is news that even NFL players are interested in this digital currency.

The cryptocurrency has not been seeing good times in the New Year. The circulation of the cryptocurrency is slowing down and over $100 billion in value were lost last Friday in the cryptocurrency market. The volatility of Bitcoin is what is catching the attention of people, including professional athletes.

The cornerback of the Seattle Seahawks, Richard Sherman, said that the sudden boom of Bitcoin from nowhere to $19,000 caught everyone’s attention. This was the talking point in the NFL locker room. Sherman has been accepting Bitcoin payment on his merchandise website since 2014. He is currently treating his Achilles tendon and hence has taken time out of the game to study the cryptocurrency.

Sherman said that his buddies are figuring out which cryptocurrency they need to get as there are tons of digital currencies in the market. He and his teammates feel that there are a lot of uncertainties surrounding the digital coins as of now.
