Microsoft Ready to Accept Bitcoins Again

The Bitcoins can be part of your approved Microsoft digital wallet once again. The software giant company Microsoft will welcome Bitcoin back into its payment fold. By using the digital currency, you can now make purchases for the online games on the Xbox and Windows online stores.

There was a period when Microsoft stopped its customers from using Bitcoin as a payment option for their apps and online games. The volatility of the cryptocurrency was the main reason for this. The Bitcoins can be redeemed as dollars. Microsoft said that they have worked with their provider and made it possible for customers to make payments for apps through lower Bitcoin amounts. Microsoft accepted Bitcoin as a payment method for the first time in 2014.

The Bitcoin is seeing an up and down ride in the market for the last 12 months. It surges very high on one day and then drops to a low on the next day. The cryptocurrency hit an all-time high of $20,000 in the mid of December last year. But, it soon dropped down by 22 percent in a few days’ time and settled at $15,262. The temporary blocking of Microsoft in its online stores was on the similar lines adopted by Steam, a video gaming service.
